I just finished reading the book "Greatness is a Choice: Shifting: Reflections, Lessons and Legacy", by Sharon Rowe. First, I must tell you that I know Sharon Rowe personally and that for a time we worked together. I know that Sharon would want me to... no, she would insist that I be totally honest with you and not hold back any punches, so I won't.

There are some typo's, and a couple of glaring ones at that but nothing that truly gets in the way of her writing nor of the positive message this book tries to convey. And when I say positive, it is throughout the book. Even when Sharon discusses some dark and I mean dark moments in her life, you still can hear the positivity in her voice. We all have those dark moments and Sharon discusses ways for us to not only live through the moment but how to overcome the negativity that could swallow us whole. And we all need to hear it and to learn from it. Sharon shows us the steps that we can take to lead a more positive, health centered life toward achieving our own level of Greatness. It's a good read with some very interesting moments of God shining through.

I Loved the Honesty, it's not easy to tell your story. Rape and Domestic Violence are depressing issues. It carries a stigma that often leads individuals to commit suicide or use drugs. Sharon, gave resources, like the Suicide Hotline.

I can identify with her mom, like mine. She seemed to have so much wisdom and faith. My grandson was five when my mom died. He comforted me, told me, not to cry, "Your mom is in a better place"!!! Sharon's daughter was also wise, I said, " From the mouths of Babes.

Thanks for the outline you did, resources you named and encouragement to confide in someone when in a crisis. Couldn't put it down, had to finish it. 💕😄

I liked that the entire book takes a positive view on adversity, sad, and/or traumatic events that occur in one's life. Sharon uses her life experiences to help the reader see another path where you can thrive and help others thrive, no matter what's their experience. She utilizes her faith to help support herself and to express to others the importance of realizing they are not alone. Sharon's use of life experiences allows for the reader to recognize their own experiences and utilizing those experiences to bring about a positive change in the world. A great read!!
